Vladimir-Suzdal Principality Getaway
For those with limited time to see Russia, this day trip to the Golden ring cities of Vladimir and Suzdal is a perfect addition to a visit to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Travel by car or train from bustle Moscow through rural towns and villages of Central Russia. Merge with provincial life in Suzdal surrounded by medieval churches and monasteries. To make sure your experience is complete, we recommend to stay at the family run private B&Bs. Some of them are old style wooden houses, some more modern, but all offer unforgettable hospitality of rural Russian life along with modern conveniences.

[Option 1] - 1 day, by private car:
Our driver will meet you at the hotel in Moscow early in the morning. If the traffic is reasonable, after ~ 3 hrs we will arrive to our first destination - Vladimir city. Here we will spend 20-30 minutes to observe major cathedrals and then drive to Bogolubovo town (~ 20 min), where you can observe and take few pictures (from distance) of the Intercession church (1165). After Bogolubovo, we will drive to Suzdal town (~ 30 min). There we will meet a local guide for a 3 hours city excursion. Finally, around 18:00pm we will head back to Moscow. Because of the evening traffic, plan on late arrival (midnight +).
[Option 2] - 1 day, by private car, with bilingual guide:
This option is an ideal for those who prefer detailed guiding and enjoys a conversation. Our bilingual guide will meet you at the hotel together with the driver and will be accompanying you throughout the whole entire trip. During the trip you will visit Vladimir city, Bogolubovo town and Suzdal. You can stay at each stop as long as you wish. Because of the morning and evening traffic, plan on late arrival (midnight +).
[Option 3] - 2 days/1 night, by private car:
Our driver will meet you at the hotel in Moscow early in the morning. If the traffic is reasonable, after ~ 3 hrs we will arrive to our first destination - Vladimir city. Here we will spend ~ 1 hour to observe major cathedrals and then drive to Bogolubovo town (~ 20 min) to see the Intercession church (1165). Upon arrival to Suzdal, check in at your Hotel/B&B. Try Russian Banya. Next morning, after breakfast, you will be greeted by a bilingual guide and invited for a 3 hours city excursion. After excursion, browse the town on your own. At ~ 18:00pm we will depart to Moscow. Because of the evening traffic, plan on late arrival (midnight +).
[Option 4] - 2 days/1 night, by train + private car:
There are no direct trains between Moscow and Suzdal, only between Moscow and Vladimir cities (closest to Suzdal). We will start our tour in the afternoon. Our driver with the assistant guide will meet you at the hotel/B&B and take you to the train station. Our guide will give you tickets and help you to find and board the train. After ~ 3 hours ride, you will arrive to Vladimir city, where you will be met by a car for a transfer to Suzdal with short stops at the major cathedrals of Vladimir. Upon arrival to Suzdal, check in at the hotel/B&B. Feel free to take a walk around the town or just relax. Next morning, after breakfast, you will be greeted by a bilingual guide and invited for a 3 hours city excursion. In the afternoon, the driver will take you back to the train station in Vladimir city. After ~ 3 hours ride you will return to Moscow's train station from where you can take a subway or take a taxi to your hotel.

Special tour-related note:
Depending on the season, bring: sweater or light jacket, umbrella, sun glasses, cap, warm boots, mittens, hat and thick coat. Plan for the worst, especially in the winter for incidents such as car break downs or train delays.
Bring snacks, sandwiches, water & a book for a train ride.
For Banya experience, bring a swim suit (if in the group)
Carry bilingual dictionary with you all the time. Be aware that the driver or B&B hosts do not speak your language.
