For those with limited time to see Russia, this day trip to the Golden Ring cities of Vladimir and Suzdal is a perfect addition to a visit to Moscow and St. Petersburg. Travel by car or train from bustle Moscow through rural towns and villages of Central Russia. Merge with provincial life in Suzdal surrounded by medieval churches and monasteries. To make sure your experience is complete, we recommend to stay at the family run private B&Bs. Some of them are old style wooden houses, some more modern, but all offer unforgettable hospitality of rural Russian life along with modern conveniences.

[Options 1] - 1 day/~ 12 hours 4 stops: Day tours are great for folks interested mainly in sightseeing. This tour option includes classic golden ring cities and towns: Moscow - Vladimir - Bogolyubovo - Suzdal. We will meet you at the hotel in Moscow early in the morning. If the traffic is reasonable, after ~ 3 hrs we will arrive to Vladimir. Here we will spend 20-30 minutes to observe major cathedrals. Next stop is Bogolyubovo town with the Intercession church (1165). The church is located within 15-20 min walk from the main road. Depending on the weather, feel free to take a walk to the church or just enjoy it from the distance. Our final stop today is Suzdal town. Upon arrival, feel free to explore the town by feet or ask the driver to take you to popular sites for brief tours. Closer to 18:00pm we will head back to Moscow. Due to heavy traffic in/around Moscow, plan on late arrival (midnight+).
[Options 2] - 2 days/1 night with 4 stops: If you are in Moscow for few days, take an overnight trip to Suzdal. This is a perfect option for those who likes sightseeing and relaxing atmosphere of countryside mixed with ancient towns. This tour option includes classic golden ring cities and towns: Moscow - Vladimir - Bogolyubovo - Suzdal. We recommend to overnight in Suzdal. After you settle into your B&B or Hotel room, try the Russian Banya or take a walk to the town's central square for a dinner or street concerts by local artists. Next morning, after breakfast, feel free to explore the town on your own or book a professional guide in advance. Local guides in Suzdal are usually available near popular tourist sites and can be booked on the spot if not too busy. Our driver will be at your disposal for local transfers as you need it. Around 18:00pm we will drive back to Moscow. Due to heavy traffic in/around Moscow, plan on late arrival (midnight +).
[Options 3] - 2 days/1 night with 5 stops: This tour option is popular with visitors who want to see the classic golden ring towns and the headquarter of the Russian Orthodox church in Sergiev Posad. Our travel route includes: Moscow - Sergiyev Posad - Vladimir - Bogolyubovo - Suzdal. If you want to spend more time in Sergiev Posad, you can stay overnight there. Please note that the first day is when we try to cover most of the stops. Next day, in the late afternoon, we will drive straight to Moscow. Due to heavy traffic in/around Moscow, plan on late arrival (midnight +).
