[Option 1] - Irkutsk city center, 3 hours, walking; This tour begins in the Kirov square. Popular among local residents because of the small park right in the center, this square is a home to the city's administration, linguistic University, hotel "Angara", Polish and Russian cathedrals, Regional museum, WWII memorial. From the Kirov square we will walk along Lenin and Karl Marx main avenues followed by flourishing, the Uritskogo street with many shops and the bazaar (market) area at the end. After short stop at the bazaar, we will leave crowded streets and will enter streets of wooden Irkutsk finishing the tour at the Krestovozdvizenkaya church site.
[Option 2] - Irkutsk city center, 3 hours, by private car; This tour begins from your hotel or B&B. During the tour we will visit all major landmarks of Irkutsk city, such as Kirov square, local artisans on Gagarina and Lenin streets, bazaar (market place), drive through wooden part of Irkutsk, stop at the Decembrist museum and Znamenskaya convent founded in 1658. If there is enough time, we will also drive on top of the Irkutsk hydropower dam or a bridge across Angara River for panoramic views of the city and the river.
