Arshan is a small village and resort famous for its hot springs located at the foot of the Sayan Mountains in Tunka Valley about 210km/130mi south of Irkutsk city. The word Arshan comes from Buryat language and means "Saint Spring". The place is very popular among local residents because of the healing properties of mineral springs, and majestic views of Tunka Valley. Visitors are welcomed by comfortable hotels and basic resort infrastructure. Trip to Arshan is a great option for folks who like to actively experience nature's wonders, explore new places, and mingle with local culture and life.

Destinations: Irkutsk city - Arshan village (210km one way)
[Option 1] - 10-12 hours: pickup / drop off transfer
This option is for folks who want to spend few days at Arshan resort, or take a bus one way and return by a private car. The driver will pick you up from the hotel in Arshan resort or Irktusk city and bring you same day to where you need to be.
[Option 2] - 2 days/1 night, driving tour
This is most popular option, overnight trip. Our driver will meet you at the hotel in Irkutsk city in the morning. After brief introduction, start driving toward Arshan resort. The drive takes about 4-5 hours (250km to the resort). The driver will stop for you to take pictures or lunch. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Free time. Overnight (including driver) in Arshan resort at one of the local hotels there. Next day, explore surroundings, bath in hot spring, hike, walk, enjoy the scenery. Later in the afternoon, the driver will pick you up and drive back to Irkutsk city. Bilingual tour guide is optional (see prices)
[Option 3] - Lodging at the Arshan Resort

[Option 4] - 6-7 hours, public bus option
There is a public bus between Irkutsk city and Arshan village. It departs in the morning, around 8-9AM, and travels for 6-7 hours (one way). We can only pre-book a bus to Arshan village. Return tickets can be purchased only at the bus kiosk in Arshan village on the first come first served basis. Note that there is a hike from the bus stop in Arshan village to the Arshan resort.
