 Yurts at Issyk-Kul

This tour takes you from Almaty city in Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz "pearl" - Lake Issyk-Kul. This 7-day adventure gives you plenty of time to see several aspects of these two countries: lively cities and colorful bazaars, evidence of ancient settlers in the mountains, relaxing days swimming in clear Issyk-Kul, and meetings with nomadic herdsmen in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan.

Itinerary:


Day 1: Almaty city: meeting and transfer to your accommodations. Sightseeing tour of the city. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel Almaty**.

Day 2: Almaty city: Breakfast. Transfer by car from Almaty to Lake Issyk-Kul (~ 400 km, 8 hours) through the Kegen area. Picnic along the way. Dinner. Overnight at the Kyrgyz Seashore Resort** hotel;

Day 3: Lake Issyk-Kul: Breakfast. Free time. In the afternoon, our guide and driver will take you to the site with ancient rock drawings, some dated between 500 BCE to the 1st century CE. Next stop will be the local bazaar (market). Lunch. Return to the lake. Dinner. Overnight at the Kyrgyz Seashore Resort** hotel;

Day 4: Lake Issyk-Kul: Breakfast. A drive to the mountains of Grigorievka Gorge. Visit local families to see nomadic herdsmen life. Lunch. Return to the lake. Dinner. Overnight at the Kyrgyz Seashore Resort** hotel;

Day 5: Lake Issyk-Kul: Breakfast. A drive to Bishkek city (~ 300 km, 6 hours). Along the way we will stop for lunch and visit the Burana Tower (11th century monument in the shape of a mosque tower). Dinner. Overnight at the Guest house Asia Mountains**;

Day 6: Bishkek city: Breakfast. A drive to the Ala-Archa gorge. Picnic in Ala-Archa. Return to Bishkek city. In afternoon, city sightseeing tour. Dinner. Overnight at the Guest house Asia Mountains**;

Day 7: Bishkek city: Breakfast. A drive to Almaty city (~ 270 km, 5 hours). Dinner. Overnight at the hotel Almaty**.
